Working Committees, looking for participation

Education Committee: contact Cecilia McGruer
The education committee deals with our tango club and community dance skill development. It will attempt to assess skill levels, plan skill development, organize workshops, "figure of the week", and any other educational programs.

Marketing & Promotion Committee:
Our tango club will "market" and promote events to prospective new members and will disseminate information to club members and the public at large. It deals with all media, including business cards, ribbons, shoe bags, T-shirts, and anything that can be used to promote the club identity or "brand".

Music Committee: contact Roberto Martinez-Espineira
The music committee chooses equipment to play music at practicas, milongas, and workshops. It also maintains the club library of music, contributed on CD, or purchased from iTunes store. Club members cani make up playlists from this library, choosng tunes to make up tandas, with cortina separators, to be used at club events.

Social Committee: contact Alison Powell
Social events let us all use our tango dancing skills. The social committee organizes volunteers for special activities, milongas, and assigns tasks at our weekly practicas.

Why 'Tango on the Edge'?

Not only is Newfoundland & Labrador on the edge of the North American continent, but (along with the island of Hydra near Greece, the Bermuda Triangle, and Papua New Guinea,) Brimstone Head, Fogo, Newfoundland is considered by the Flat Earth Society to be one of the four corners of the earth.
